Love-Hate Relationship with Mr. Sun

"Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy"

Over the weekend, I had outdoor photo sessions and I kept on praying that both days would have a beautiful weather. It was indeed a sunny weekend. It was gorgeous, but the trick is to find the right time for the location of choice because there are open spaces that are great in photos, but are not too friendly to the subject and to myself as the photographer.

I don't like the outdoors especially when the sun is too high or up. My skin doesn't agree with it and I sweat a lot. I am even told by my sister that I chose the wrong "interest/hobby". But when a session gets rolling, I soon forget the sun and the sweat. I keep going because I am committed to deliver the photos that my subjects deserve. A thank you, a happy face, and a cheeky grin will make me forget that I am "sun-toasted" on that day :-).

If I have a choice between a rainy day and a sunny day, I prefer the latter. The best day is on a very cloudy and breezy day, which when it happens albeit very seldom, I must have done something so great for mother nature to bestow me such a lovely day. My entry below for Project 64: Out of the Box: gold also reminds me of the overwhelming power of a sunrise or a sunset. Happy Monday everyone!

@Cat, thanks a lot :-) I at first don't like the silhouettes, for me they seem to distract the beauty of the sunset; but on second look I come to realize that it adds interest to this photo so now am loving it.

@Danelle, thank you for dropping by :-)

Absolutely gorgeous! The light and color is out of this world. I love the clouds in the sky and how the silhouettes anchor the photo. Thank you for sharing!

What an amazing shot! The color is so.....golden! It almost shimmers right on the screen. Nicely done.
